Hockey World Cup to be held in India from January 13 to 29

Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal said that it is a matter of pride for all the countrymen as the Hockey World Cup is being organised in India this time. The Hockey World Cup will be held from January 13 to 29 in Bhubaneswar, Odisha.

Army XI beat Punjab & Sind Bank by 3-1 in the league match and earned full three points in pool B on the second day of 39th Indian Oil Servo Surjit Hockey Tournament at Olympian Surjit Hockey Stadium Jalandhar here this evening. In another league match in Pool A Indian Air Force beat Indian Railways by 3-1 to earn three points. ASC Bangaluru and Indian Navy entered the league stage after winning their respective matches.

8th Bhagwant Singh Memorial Basketball Tournament kick starts

On the first day 8 th edition of Sardar Bhagwant Singh Memorial Basketball tournament, hosted by Vivek High School, Mohali today at Sports Stadium, Sector 78, Mohali, the first match was played between Learning paths School, Mohali and Shemrock School, Mohali for under 12 Girls category wherein Learning Paths School emerged winner by 41- 02, Sanvi scored 18 points for the winning team .In another match played between under 12 girls YPS School Mohali defeated Saupins School , Chandigarh by 13- 02.Avantika scored 12 points for the winning team .
